Meet Charlotte

Charlotte Desmullier, French actress based in Vancouver

Charlotte Desmullier is a French actress based in Vancouver, Canada. Her connection to storytelling began in early childhood. Long before discovering acting as a profession, she was already writing short plays and performing them for her family, instinctively creating characters and bringing stories to life.

Her training spans both stage and screen, with studies at Cours Florent and Cours Simon in Paris, France; École de cinéma et de télévision de Québec in Québec City, Canada; and New Image College in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her studies have covered classical and contemporary theatre, on-camera performance, character development, voice, voice acting and cinematic storytelling.

Her theatre credits include the title role in Jean Anouilh's "Antigone", Laura in "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams, Amanda Castle in "Criminal Genius" from George F. Walker's "Suburban Motel" series, and Queen Margaret in Shakespeare's "Henry VI". She has also explored solo performance through dramatic monologues, including "Ultime Bataille" by Jean-Michel Ribes.

Drawn to layered, emotionally complex and unconventional characters, Charlotte is fascinated by the contrasts within human nature: darkness and vulnerability, intensity and humour, strength and fragility. She approaches each role with curiosity, imagination and a desire to discover the humanity beneath the character.
